We’ve Added New Tags for Your Listings
You may have noticed that we added some new tags to the site yesterday. These tags are for clipped coupons only and are going to be permanent, so feel free to start using them when you add new listings.

What Do You Have To Do?
Nothing… for now. As of 6:00 am Tuesday, January 3, the appropriate tags have already been added to active listings. Please add the appropriate tag to any new listings you enter from now on. Don’t worry. I’ll be adding this to my list of Things-To-Do every morning, but you know what they say…
“If you want something done right, better do it yourself!”
How To Use The New Tags
The tags must be typed exactly as you see the above. Don’t worry, though. If you type “$1″ or $2” etc the autosuggest will take over and you can select it without worrying about whether you have the correct order of characters.
Obviously, if your coupon is for $1/4 Campbell’s Soup then you’d use the $1-off tag – and ONLY the $1-off tag.
Please only use these tags on clipped coupons listings. Not for use on whole insert listings.

Why We Added These New Tags
Tags are just another way to help make it easier for customers to search the site. In this case, we added these tags in response to the Harris Teeter Super Doubles Week Event so our HT customers could quickly find the higher-value coupons on the site. Since HT runs this event on a regular basis throughout the year we’re going to make these tags a permanent fixture on the site.
Over the years we’ve also had one or two customers ask us to add a feature to sort coupons by value. If one or two are asking that means there are probably others who’d like that feature, too.
Are Tags Really That Important?
Yes. Yes, they are! These new tags have only been in effect for less than 24 hours and the $2-off tag is already in the top 20 for pageviews. Anything we can do to make it easier for customers to find what they’re looking for is worth the time it takes to implement. Which means it’s worth it for you, too!
