Changes in Paypal Transfers 10/27/2014

Beginning November 2, 2014, all vendors will be paid once a week. All weekly payments will be made on Thursday morning by approximately 6 AM EST.

The final daily transfer will be made on Saturday, November 1, 2014.

The first weekly transfer will occur on Thursday, November 6, 2014 and cover sales from Saturday, November 1, through Wednesday, November 5, 2014.

The next weekly transfer will occur on Thursday, November 13, 2014 and cover sales from Thursday, November 6, through Wednesday, November 12, 2014.

The next will occur on Thursday, November 20, 2014 and cover sales from Thursday, November 13, through Wednesday, November 19, and so on.

You will receive a report that shows the orders per day and any refunds issued during the week.

This change is necessary for two reasons:

Reason One: I spend a disproportionate amount of time every day calculating commissions for all vendors so I can separate out the commissions for the few vendors we have who are still on daily payment. There are only a few vendors still on daily pament and most would actually save money on Paypal fees if paid on a weekly basis.

Reason Two: REFUNDS!

We, The Happy Couponers, have been eating a lot of the refunds simply because I can’t track them with the system I currently have in place. By the time I research the problem, contact the vendor, contact the customer again, issue the refund, and then try to make some sense out of all the emails and paperwork, you’ve already been paid and I have to do even more paperwork to get the money back.  And at a couple bucks a pop I usually just forget about it.

Issuing refunds is a part of any business and we understand mistakes happen. However, every time we give a customer a refund we have to wonder if we’ve really made that customer happy. She came to us looking for coupons and for whatever reason we didn’t meet her expectations. We may have refunded her money, but Will she be back again? Maybe. Maybe not. It depends on how badly she wanted those coupons.

With that in mind, we’ve instituted a new Refund Policy to help improve customer service and reduce refunds.  You can read more about it here —>  Refund Policy Changes 10/27/2014
